Description:
As a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Ping Identity, you will be involved in every facet of our Cloud-based services.
You will establish solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure of one of the largest identity platforms in the world.
The role follows a DevOps model, integrating Development and Operations teams that run continuous deployments daily.
You will work collaboratively and independently to design and deliver solutions, as well as review and provide feedback for those delivered by other engineers.
You will shape how our mission-critical enterprise software solutions are developed and deployed using optimized and automated CI/CD pipelines that ensure high-quality products.
Your responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting infrastructure and security technologies within the cloud that offer resiliency, observability, and optimized cost.
You will communicate proactively and effectively to different audiences within the company, sharing your experience and knowledge to help others grow.
Participation in planning work and identifying areas of improvement is expected.
You will perform technology evaluation and selection.
Participation in an on-call rotation for maintenance of the cloud solutions is required.
Requirements:
You must have experience in scalable, distributed systems architecture.
Experience with Cloud Platforms is essential.
Proficiency in programming using Go is required.
You should have experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
Familiarity with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, is necessary.
You must have experience defining and implementing automated service deployments, including provisions for networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management.
An in-depth understanding of best practices for deployment automation is required.
Experience using Git in a team environment (pull requests, branching, push, and pulls) is necessary.
A CS Degree or equivalent experience is required.
It is advantageous to have an in-depth understanding of networking, including routing, naming, security, network performance, and network failure modes.
An understanding of identity and access management is beneficial.
Experience with instrumentation and management of automated deployments is a plus.
Experience resolving customer deployment issues is advantageous.
Experience working with distributed teams is beneficial.
Understanding CI/CD processes and having some experience building CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
