The role is for a Senior Staff Developer to be a Technical Leader for the Billing Group, which consists of 5 teams focused on helping healthcare professionals get paid.
Collaborate with Group Leaders from Development, Product, and Design to define and align strategic goals.
Lead the Group Architecture Team, driving engineering excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Represent the Group at department-wide Architecture Leadership meetings.
Focus on creating a loosely coupled architecture to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Lead complex, cross-team projects and engage in hands-on coding when necessary.
Mentor and coach Staff developers to empower their growth and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements:

At least 10 years of experience in shipping high-quality, customer-facing products.
Extensive experience in building scalable platforms, ideally transitioning from a monolithic to a modular monolith architecture.
Strong understanding of development best practices, modern technologies, and design patterns.
Extensive experience as a Tech Lead for large and complex cross-team projects.
Experience mentoring and growing Senior and/or Staff Developers.
Ability to work cross-functionally and earn trust from partners at all levels to gain buy-in for long-term technical goals.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is preferred, but experience in Java, C#, Python, and Go is also welcome.

Competitive salary range from $185,300 to $301,100, with a starting salary of $220,100 for fully accomplished candidates.
