The AI Data Infra team is responsible for storage, access, and curation of data across the company and all ML use cases.
The position is for a Senior Staff Software Engineer, AI Data Infra Lead, who will design the architecture and lead a team to build a robust data platform for next-gen AI Autonomous Vehicle applications.
Responsibilities include architectural design, tech leadership, data management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, staying updated with technology trends, performance optimization, and promoting engineering excellence.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Proficiency in data architecture and design is essential.
Extensive experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, Redshift, Iceberg, Hive, and Trino is required.
Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink is necessary.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala are required.
Experience with ETL tools and processes is essential.
Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies and their data requirements is a plus.
Experience with agile development methodologies and contributions to open-source projects or technical publications are nice to have.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and drive technical initiatives is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
