Remote Senior Staff Software Engineer, AI Data Infra Lead

• The AI Data Infra team is responsible for storage, access, and curation of data across the company and all ML use cases.
• The position is for a Senior Staff Software Engineer, AI Data Infra Lead, who will design the architecture and lead a team to build a robust data platform for next-gen AI Autonomous Vehicle applications.
• Responsibilities include architectural design, tech leadership, data management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, staying updated with technology trends, performance optimization, and promoting engineering excellence.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proficiency in data architecture and design is essential.
• Extensive experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, Redshift, Iceberg, Hive, and Trino is required.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink is necessary.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala are required.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes is essential.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies and their data requirements is a plus.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and contributions to open-source projects or technical publications are nice to have.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and drive technical initiatives is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
