Description:
Stack is developing revolutionary AI and advanced autonomous systems to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency in modern operations.
The AI Data Infra team is responsible for storage, access, and curation of data across the company and all ML use cases.
The role involves designing the architecture and leading a team to build a robust data platform for next-gen AI Autonomous Vehicle applications.
The candidate will oversee architectural design, tech leadership, data management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and performance optimization.
The position requires staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and promoting engineering excellence within the team.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Proficiency in data architecture and design is essential.
Extensive experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, Redshift, Iceberg, Hive, and Trino is required.
Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink is necessary.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala are required.
Experience with ETL tools and processes is essential.
Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies and their data requirements is necessary.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies is required.
Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications are preferred.
The candidate must demonstrate proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and drive technical initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
