Remote Senior Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Dutchie is a technology platform that supports dispensary operations and provides safe access to cannabis for consumers.
• The Senior Staff Engineer will be a technical leader on the Growth Platform team, responsible for the stability, performance, and evolution of the ecommerce platform's technical infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include identifying, planning, and executing technical initiatives, overseeing design reviews, prototyping new technologies, and enhancing developer tooling.
• The role involves mentoring team members, diagnosing performance issues, and contributing to the team's technical knowledge and expertise.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend server languages, experience with databases and distributed systems, and familiarity with large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• They should be proactive, quick learners, have strong communication skills, and be experienced in testing and monitoring frameworks.
• The position requires 12+ years of related experience.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of backend server languages like Ruby/Rails and Node.js
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and distributed systems
• Familiarity with large scale cloud infrastructure
• Ability to design and extend scalable data models
• Strong technical solutions delivery with clean, tested, and organized code
