Description:

The mission of the Commit Backend team is to deliver the microservice constellation to support Outreach's forecasting and opportunity management backend.
The team is responsible for creating opportunities, enabling forecasting, doing rollups, defining sales goals, telemetry, and syncing to CRM.
The role involves deep-diving into challenging technical problems, building scalable solutions, and identifying performance bottlenecks.
Engineers will iterate quickly and deliver incremental value while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Daily tasks include building applications in a modern web stack, primarily using Go language, with some Ruby on Rails applications.
The team utilizes data stores built on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and various NoSQL databases like AWS DynamoDB.
For asynchronous processing, Kafka and RabbitMQ are primarily used, and data loading is done using GraphQL.
Engineers will identify critical details and prioritize incremental delivery, design and deliver scalable solutions, and respond efficiently to changing requirements.
Maintaining high quality and delivering well-tested code is essential for building customer trust.
The role includes breaking down existing systems using a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach and owning features throughout the development process.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of strong backend development experience.
Demonstrated strong experience in building distributed systems with a cloud service-oriented architecture is required.
Great communication skills are essential for this position.
Experience in building and consuming web-based APIs is necessary.
Familiarity with continuous deployment environments is expected.
Candidates should be willing to go above and beyond to help their team.
Knowledge of Go is a must, while knowledge of Ruby is a plus.
