Outreach is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for their Data Platform team in Seattle, WA, with the option for remote work.
The role focuses on leveraging data to enhance customer success and improve sales efficiency.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing a cutting-edge data platform, building sophisticated data pipelines, and ensuring data security and privacy.
The engineer will collaborate with other teams to integrate data platform components into software applications and develop tools for self-service data pipeline management.
Mentoring and training junior data engineers is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering and data engineering, specifically in designing and building data platforms.
Strong experience with data processing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop is necessary.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go is required.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS or GCP, is essential.
Candidates should have experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with modern Lakehouse table formats, including Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi, is required.
A good understanding of SQL languages and the ability to conduct advanced performance tuning is necessary.
Experience with infrastructure management tools like Kubernetes and Terraform is required.
Candidates should have experience with workflow management tools and data security and privacy measures.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced startup environment.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $240,000 USD.
Candidates may also receive incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and additional benefits.
Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Outreach has a location-based compensation structure, which may result in different salary ranges for candidates in other locations.
