Description:
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will take us beyond traditional monolithic SQL engines and batch pipelines.
You will build the next generation of distributed data storage and processing systems.
Your work will involve creating systems that can scale indefinitely and surpass traditional query performance.
You will ensure that the interfaces for data are simple, expressive, and cleanly abstracted.
Your interfaces will support a broad array of data consumers, including web applications, business analytics, and artificial intelligence.
You will identify and develop scalable and performant solutions.
You will work across disciplines to shape product strategy and execution.
You will develop the foundations of code architecture and quality.
You will mentor and coach engineers.
You will set and uphold the standard for engineering processes to support high-quality engineering.
Requirements:
A BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
You must have 10+ years of production-level experience as an engineer building highly scalable systems.
You should have 6+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, solving for short-term and long-term business value.
You need 4+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table data sets.
Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems at scale is required.
You must have experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
You should have experience building continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies (e.g., Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go) is necessary.
You should be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and have extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
You need 10+ years of experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications as part of a cross-functional team.
You should have 8+ years of experience working with CSS/HTML/JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, VueJs/Ember).
Experience architecting, developing, and deploying integration apps with health-tech systems, like Electronic Health Records (EHRs/EMRs) is preferred.
You should have experience in building chromium-based apps and pluggable UIs (overlays) that work via chrome plugins/chromium apps in browsers/windows desktop.
You need expertise in at least one server-side web technology (e.g., Nodejs, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go), with a preference for Python.
Experience with any web framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask, etc.) is required.
A deep understanding of the DOM and how the browser works is necessary.
You should have a strong understanding of databases, both SQL and NoSQL (Postgres, Databricks, Snowflake), and web technologies.
Experience with API design and development is required.
You need knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data is necessary.
