The Senior Staff Software Engineer will define, standardize, implement, and promote software development approaches to enhance organizational performance.
This role involves building architectures and solutions to improve engineer productivity and solution robustness, while mediating discussions and aligning technical approaches across teams.
The engineer will lead the incorporation of continuous feedback loops to measure customer value and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities include identifying high-impact initiatives to reduce on-call escalations and providing technical and organizational guidance while being involved in strategic projects.
The engineer will foster collaboration between teams and advocate for increased investment in underdeveloped areas within the organization.

Requirements:

A minimum of 12 years of related experience is typically required, with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree combined with equivalent education and experience.
Proven experience of at least 10 years in software development, focusing on backend or full-stack development is necessary.
Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar is required.
Mastery of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
Experience in designing and building scalable and reliable distributed systems in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and business issues are required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective work in cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to lead and mentor multiple teams across complex business problems is essential.
Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is a strong advantage.
