Description:

  • The Senior Staff Software Engineer will work on advancing, developing, and refining the Flow Engine at ServiceNow.
  • Responsibilities include building high-quality, scalable, and reusable code, maintaining and enhancing the Flow Engine's capabilities, ensuring seamless integration protocols, collaborating with other teams, addressing defects and customer issues, and participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • The role involves leveraging design and development expertise to architect solutions using the latest technologies to enhance the customer experience.
  • The position focuses on solving complex problems in automation technology and expanding the low-code/no-code solution with the Flow Engine.
  • The successful candidate will be part of a team that empowers end users and contributes to continuous improvement of the Flow Engine and related products.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java (10+ years), JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Some experience with low-code workflow products and engines.
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of automation and system integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with technical risk, work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and may serve as a functional lead or technical owner.
  • Experience with the ServiceNow platform is desired but not required.

Benefits:

  • Base pay for positions in California (outside of the Bay Area) ranges from $163,000 to $285,200, plus equity, variable/incentive compensation, and benefits.
