The role is for a highly experienced Web Engineer with expertise in building dynamic, consumer-facing web applications using React.
The engineer will serve as the technology lead, making key decisions regarding the tech stack and mobile development strategy.
The position involves collaboration with co-founders, the CTO, product designers, and engineers to build the platform.
The engineer will help establish and grow the engineering organization and mentor future technology leaders.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building web applications using React or equivalent frameworks.
Experience in architecting scalable frontend solutions and integrating with backend APIs is required.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend tools such as Webpack and Tailwind is necessary.
Skills in performance optimization to ensure smooth and responsive web experiences are essential.
Experience in building scalable and reusable UI components, including design systems, is required.
Strong attention to detail in UI design and a deep understanding of consumer-facing UX is necessary.
Candidates should have demonstrated success as a tech lead on critical projects in previous roles.
Prior experience at a high-growth stage company is preferred.
An entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to create new consumer experiences are important.
Strong judgment and the ability to make difficult technical tradeoff decisions are required.
Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, are essential.

The starting salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on experience and skills.
