Remote Senior Support Engineer (3rd Line), M365/Azure - 440-560K ZAR

Description:

• This position is for a Senior Support Engineer (3rd Line) specializing in M365/Azure, based in Western Cape, South Africa.
• The role involves providing technical support to UK businesses as part of a Microsoft-centric managed service provider (MSP).
• The candidate will work remotely and be part of a team that is split between the UK and South Africa.
• Responsibilities include acting as the primary technical escalation point for the support team, managing client cases, contributing to the online knowledge base, leading IT projects, and mentoring colleagues.
• The role requires participation in on-call arrangements, which may include weekend availability for additional remuneration.

• Candidates must reside in South Africa and have the right to work there.
• A Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
• Permanent remote work capability is necessary.
• Willingness to participate in shift or rota-based work on evenings and weekends is required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in at least 2nd line support, preferably at 3rd line for a company with at least 200 users or as part of an IT service provider or VAR is mandatory.
• Valid certifications such as Microsoft AZ-104 and MS-900 are required.
• Knowledge and experience in networking, cyber security, virtualization, storage technologies, firewall technologies, MDM technologies, server technologies, infrastructure services, identity management, business systems, and security systems are necessary.
