Remote Senior Swift Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Swift Engineer position at webAI, Inc. involves architecting and developing sophisticated iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• The role includes integrating webAI’s distributed AI technology into iOS apps, optimizing for local execution, and designing efficient, thread-safe code for AI model inference on iOS devices.
• Responsibilities also entail collaborating with teams to define project requirements, working with backend teams to integrate cross-language functionalities, and contributing to the AI platform by building innovative applications.
• The candidate will develop and maintain SDK/frameworks for easy integration of webAI technology in iOS apps, mentor junior iOS developers, and contribute to the technical direction of the mobile strategy.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in iOS or macOS development, with 1+ year of production SwiftUI experience.
• Strong understanding of multithreading and memory management in iOS, along with experience in Core ML and Metal for on-device machine learning.
• Familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools, as well as knowledge of iOS security best practices and privacy considerations.
• Solid understanding of network protocols such as MQTT and WSS, experience in frontend development, and exposure to multiple production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
