Description:

The Senior Swift Engineer will join webAI, Inc., a software company focused on building a decentralized AI development platform.
The role is full-time and can be performed in Austin, TX or remotely.
The candidate will work on developing sophisticated iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
Responsibilities include integrating webAI’s distributed AI technology into iOS apps and optimizing for local execution.
The engineer will design and implement efficient, thread-safe code for AI model inference on iOS devices.
Collaboration with teams to define project requirements and execute them independently is essential.
The role involves working with backend teams (Rust, Go) to integrate cross-language functionalities.
The engineer will contribute to the AI platform by building innovative applications and navigating complex challenges across various production environments.
Development and maintenance of SDK/frameworks for easy integration of webAI technology in iOS apps is required.
Mentoring junior iOS developers and contributing to the technical direction of the mobile strategy is also part of the job.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience in iOS or macOS development is required.
At least 1 year of production experience with SwiftUI is necessary.
A strong understanding of multithreading and memory management in iOS is essential.
Experience with Core ML and Metal for on-device machine learning is required.
Familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools is necessary.
Knowledge of iOS security best practices and privacy considerations is required.
A solid understanding of network protocols such as MQTT and WSS is essential.
Experience in frontend development and exposure to multiple production environments is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
