Description:

Zyte is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their remote team.
The role involves maintaining, operating, and developing the proxy infrastructure.
The successful candidate will manage relationships with IP providers and serve as the main point of contact.
Responsibilities include writing tools and scripts for automation and self-service solutions.
The position requires designing new systems to support production services and creatively solving scalability challenges.
The candidate will help improve monitoring and identify key performance metrics.
Proactive research and development are expected, including discovering and implementing new providers and tools.
Troubleshooting and resolving server, network, and application issues are key tasks.
The role requires applying critical thinking skills to facilitate constructive discussions and explore alternative solutions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of recent experience as a Linux administrator/engineer at a reasonable scale, managing dozens of systems.
A minimum of 2+ years of recent professional experience in designing, developing, and operating Configuration Management solutions, preferably Ansible.
Experience working with third-party providers is required.
Solid experience in Linux tuning, profiling, and monitoring is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, SQL, and GIT.
A strong knowledge of networking and network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, firewalls, VLANs, DNS, and LDAP, is essential.
Skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python or Bash, are required.
Proven experience in applying critical thinking to solve complex problems and improve system performance is necessary.
Previous work experience as a team coordinator or supervisor is preferred.
