Remote Senior Systems Engineer II - Microsoft Infrastructure

Description:

• Design and deliver components of Microsoft Windows-based infrastructure to improve availability, scalability, and latency for daily use by Cruisers
• Implement solutions to enhance security and scalability of Microsoft Windows configuration management tools like Active Directory, SCCM, and PKI, with a focus on automation
• Identify opportunities for self-service and workflow automation to support team requests efficiently
• Enhance observability capabilities related to Windows-based infrastructure
• Develop and maintain configuration policies and ensure compliance across IT
• Provide tier-3, 4 support for Microsoft systems as an escalation path from IT Operations or Security
• Monitor and report on the health of the Microsoft Windows Server environment, including patch coverage and performance baselines
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate requirements into service architecture components
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Requirements:

• Proven experience in administering, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Windows at scale
• Deep understanding of Active Directory, SCCM, PKI, DNS, and using Powershell scripts for management and automation
• Experience with InTune and AzureAD
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code methodologies for managing Microsoft Windows platforms
• Strong grasp of DevOps methodologies with a focus on automation
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD for improving change quality and release frequency
• Experience managing Windows-based infrastructure in public clouds like AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Security-oriented mindset when engineering solutions for complex problems
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Powershell and Python
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and drive projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
