Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer II, Windows Infrastructure at Cruise will be responsible for designing and delivering components of Microsoft Windows-based infrastructure to enhance availability, scalability, and latency for employees.
They will implement solutions to secure and scale Microsoft Windows configuration management services like Active Directory, SCCM, and PKI, with a focus on automation.
The engineer will identify opportunities for self-service and workflow automation, enhance observability capabilities, and maintain configuration policies and compliance enforcement.
Providing tier-3, 4 support for Microsoft systems, reporting on the health of the Windows Server environment, collaborating with technical teams, and participating in an on-call rotation are also part of the role.
Requirements:
Proven experience in administering, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Windows at scale.
Deep understanding of Active Directory, SCCM, PKI, DNS, and using Powershell scripts for management and automation.
Experience with InTune, AzureAD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code methodologies for managing Windows platforms.
Strong DevOps background with a focus on automation, using Git, CI/CD, and managing Windows-based infrastructure in public clouds.
Security mindset, scripting skills in Powershell and Python, multitasking ability, and empathy for end users are required.
