Magic Media is seeking a Senior Technical Game Designer to work across various game genres, platforms, and target audiences.
The role involves collaborating with the Lead Designer and cross-functional teams to shape and implement the technical vision for projects.
The designer will work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to establish and maintain efficient workflows.
Responsibilities include ensuring the team meets project goals and deadlines and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
Requirements:
Candidates must have the ability to create thrilling games that align with client visions and industry standards.
A strong ability to implement and prototype designs in the Unity game engine is required.
Knowledge of game theory and game mechanics design is essential.
The designer must create detailed documentation of the Game’s Design for both clients and developers.
Experience in designing game mechanics and systems is necessary.
Candidates should perform in-engine balancing, tweaking, and polishing tasks related to game design.
Strong mathematical skills applied in Spreadsheet/Google Sheets form are required.
Experience designing Game Systems that efficiently achieve specific goals is necessary.
The ability to create effective and well-documented wireframes for UX/UI is required.
Candidates must work within a multidisciplinary team towards shared goals.
The role requires estimating, prioritizing, and coordinating game design activities.
Candidates should coach teammates in game design tasks and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Participation in Design Department activities to collaborate with fellow game designers is expected.
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, are essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
Professional experience in game design of at least 5 years is necessary.
Deep experience in prototyping and implementing designs in the Unity engine is required.
Candidates should have experience and passion for mobile hero collector games.
A deep knowledge of creating Game Design Documentation is essential.
Fluent English and excellent communication skills are required.
Experience working with Art and Programming departments is necessary.
Experience in creating and tuning FTUE and game tutorials is required.
Experience in in-game economy design and working on games from pre-production to release and LiveOps is necessary.
Candidates must have shipped multiple game titles as a Game Designer.
Proactivity, enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to work autonomously are essential traits.
