Remote Senior Technology Controls Engineer

Description:

The Senior Technical Controls Engineer for Cybersecurity will lead cybersecurity control efforts within the company.
Responsibilities include auditing and testing existing controls, designing and implementing new controls, ensuring technology platforms adhere to control standards, and developing a robust cybersecurity controls framework.
The role involves assessing IT general control and application control testing, managing findings, establishing compensating controls, and overseeing remediation.
The engineer will drive controls adoption readiness assessments, enhance technology platform functionality, communicate progress to senior management, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve control processes.
They will analyze audit results, ensure high-quality cybersecurity program documentation, and proactively address key risks impacting audits.

Deep knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity auditing, specifically in IT general controls and application controls.
Ability to lead complex assessments, solve problems under tight deadlines, and implement high-impact cybersecurity solutions.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
Extensive experience with public/private cloud technologies and cybersecurity platforms.
Formal training or certification in audit functions with at least 7+ years of IT controls experience.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and leading cybersecurity controls programs.
