Description:

WunderGraph is seeking a Senior TypeScript Engineer focused on library and algorithm development.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining core TypeScript packages, including client SDKs and GraphQL Federation utility libraries.
Responsibilities include architecting reusable TypeScript modules, defining and executing comprehensive tests, optimizing algorithms for performance, and collaborating with product and customer teams.
The engineer will engage with the open-source community, triaging issues, reviewing contributions, and mentoring fellow maintainers.
The position is fully remote, with a requirement to work during Central European Time business hours.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience in building and maintaining TypeScript libraries/packages.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js is required.
Familiarity with GraphQL ecosystems, federation, code generation, or client libraries is necessary.
Experience with modern testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
A solid understanding of npm package workflows, semantic versioning, and monorepo tooling is expected.
A huge interest in graph algorithms and a willingness to learn and apply graph-theoretic techniques in the context of GraphQL Federation is important.
Open-source contributions or personal projects showcasing library-building skills are appreciated.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear technical writing and cross-team collaboration are required.
Willingness to travel twice a year for offsites and major team meet-ups is necessary.
