Description:
PeopleFun is seeking a Senior UI Artist to create and evolve user interface designs for the Wordscapes Solitaire game.
The role requires a solid track record of shipping industry-leading titles, strong graphic design sensibilities, vivid use of color, and intuitive UX fundamentals.
Responsibilities include creating and interpreting ideas into rough concepts, designing easy-to-navigate gameplay sequences, and building rewarding moments for players.
The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally from initial concept to release and design complex flows, screens, and components at a high-quality bar.
The position involves supporting leads and directors with accurate scoping and estimation of work, innovating UI visuals, and bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions.
A natural affinity towards 2D UI artwork, motion graphics, and UI animation for mobile games is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience as a UI artist in game development, with a UX/UI portfolio showcasing prior work and insight into their process.
Prior experience in shipping mobile games, preferably in the casual genre, is required.
Demonstrated technical excellence and the ability to creatively solve problems and push design forward is necessary.
Expertise in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Figma, and other visual creation tools is essential.
Knowledge of design fundamentals (layout, composition, grids, typography, color) and current mobile UX/UI design trends is required.
Candidates should have experience working with other artists, designers, and programmers.
Initiative to create and maintain a vision for the UI theme in a game is important, along with being a passionate, performance-driven self-starter.
An interest in player behavior and experience, with a solid understanding of usability, UX, UI, and interactive design, is necessary.

The expected base pay range for this position is $90,000-$130,000, based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical and other benefits.
