Description:

ClickUp is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to set the overall vision for the UI of their application and enforce standards around UI & Design development.
The role involves solving complex issues for large-scale product development, ensuring high quality, optimal performance, and adaptive design matching UI and UX.
The Senior UI Engineer will collaborate closely with the product team, graphical designers, backend engineers, and the quality assurance team to provide a world-class software platform.
The candidate must understand the challenges of rapid growth startups and be able to communicate their philosophy and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This position is not a traditional frontend product team role; it requires expertise in UI architecture and design, as well as a strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms.
Responsibilities include envisioning, developing, and enforcing the global UI architecture and design systems, contributing clean code, providing technical expertise to other teams, participating in UI & Design architecture councils, and translating complex business requirements into actionable software items.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of working experience on large-scale JS/TS/CSS/SASS/HTML style products.
A minimum of 4+ years of experience with large design systems and tokens using Figma is required.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular/React, and vanilla JavaScript is essential.
A strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS, and dynamic ones like CSS-in-JS and CSS Variables is necessary.
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills are a must.
A strong sense of ownership and accountability is required.
Preferred qualifications include expertise with various build and release management tools related to UI/UX development, managing accessibility for diverse customer sizes, and experience in rapid-growth startups.
