Description:
Mursion, an online simulation studio, is seeking a Senior Unity Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of VR simulation software using Unity and Mursion Engine (C#).
The role involves developing interfaces for seamless communication between real-time communication clients and the simulation software, building and testing prototypes, and refining software architecture for local machines and cloud-based GPU systems.
Responsibilities also include leading research and development efforts for a real-time avatar lip sync system, employing traditional software engineering strategies for scalability and reliability, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated on VR technology trends.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience as a lead software engineer, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, proficiency in .Net, C#/C/C++, and experience with WebRTC technologies.
This is a fully remote, full-time position reporting to the Director of Product: Immersive.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience as a lead and senior software engineer, with at least 3 years specializing in Unity and related technologies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in .Net, C#/C/C++, and analytical programming and debugging skills.
Experience with render queues, image buffers, real-time media streams, and familiarity with the WebRTC framework.
Knowledge of media codecs, compression techniques, and browser-based plugins for VR support.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
