Remote Senior Unity Engineer (PC & Mobile)

Description:

• Demiurge Studios is seeking a Senior Unity Engineer for PC and mobile platforms to join their remote team.
• The role involves collaborating with artists and designers to define game features and system requirements.
• Responsibilities include implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining source code.
• The engineer will review the work of peers and provide constructive feedback in a collaborative environment.
• Ongoing support to artists and designers is expected, along with delivering high-quality, functional systems on time.
• The position requires making educated trade-offs among scope, quality, and pace.
• The engineer will author technical design documents that specify development plans and provide time estimates for feature development.
• Creative problem-solving to address blocking issues for oneself and teammates is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Professional experience in C# and developing software with the Unity Game Engine is required.
• Strong programming and software architecture skills are necessary.
• Experience with agile methodologies in software development is expected.
• Applicants should demonstrate the ability to maintain code quality through software engineering practices.
• The ability to achieve development goals with minimal supervision is essential.
• A BS or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.) or equivalent experience is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory.
