Jackbox Games is seeking a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to join their team, particularly for the development of Trivia Murder Party 3.
The studio is known for the Jackbox Party Pack franchise, which includes popular games like Quiplash and Drawful.
The role requires building the online and meta-game systems, including matchmaking, progression, in-game purchases, leaderboards, and player identity.
The developer will collaborate with various teams to ensure online systems integrate smoothly into the game and support a scalable live product.
Responsibilities include owning major technical features, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting online performance issues, and contributing to the technical roadmap.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in game development with a strong emphasis on Unreal Engine (C++).
A deep familiarity with Epic Online Services (EOS) and online multiplayer architecture is required.
Experience in shipping at least one multiplayer title, ideally with live or ongoing content, is necessary.
Applicants should have experience implementing or integrating meta-game features such as player progression, in-app purchases, and leaderboards.
A strong grasp of networking fundamentals and scalability challenges is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable leading initiatives and mentoring others while contributing directly to production code.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are required.
Familiarity with platforms like Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, or Nintendo Switch Online is preferred.
Experience with backend services and providers such as PlayFab, EOS Nakama, or AWS/GCP is beneficial.
An interest in live game development and game analytics, as well as a passion for party games or unique multiplayer formats, is desired.

The pay range for this position is $148,985 - $228,055, with compensation packages based on individual factors.
