Description:

Scribd is seeking an experienced and strategic UX writer to join their product team on a part-time contract basis, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
The role offers flexibility to manage your own schedule and the potential for growth into a full-time position.
As the sole UX writer, you will be responsible for bringing the voices of Scribd's three brands (Everand, Scribd, and SlideShare) to life through compelling and clear copy.
You will collaborate closely with designers, researchers, and the brand copywriter to ensure a seamless and delightful experience for customers across all touchpoints.
Key responsibilities include translating voice and tone into the UI, collaborating with cross-functional teams, iterating and improving based on feedback, advocating for users, and defining the UX writing process.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional UX writing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing their work.
Proven expertise in adapting and carrying voice across various platforms for a B2C product is required, with past experience in an in-house product team being a plus.
Strong collaboration skills are necessary, as you will need to synthesize multiple points of view and align stakeholders across copy handoff points.
A customer-centric approach is essential, with a passion for improving user experiences.
Attention to detail is critical, with a strong grasp of English grammar, style, and UX writing best practices.
Experience with UX tools (e.g., Figma), usability testing, and A/B testing platforms is a plus.
