Remote Senior UX Writer

Description:

• Toptal is seeking a Senior UX Writer to join the Content Marketing team, responsible for creating impactful, conversion-focused copy for new products and platforms.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of UX writing, content design best practices, and product conversion principles.
• Responsibilities include writing and editing copy for Toptal’s site and platforms, ensuring it meets exceptional UX standards and drives key business metrics.
• The Senior UX Writer will develop content strategies tailored to various audiences, define copy standards, and collaborate with product designers and managers.
• This role involves providing leadership and mentorship to team members and educating cross-functional partners on UX writing and content strategy.
• The position is remote, and candidates must submit resumes and communication in English. Visa sponsorship or assistance is not offered.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Human Computer Interaction, or a relevant field is required.
• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a UX Writer and/or Product Content Strategist for digital products.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with perfect grammar and command of the English language, are essential.
• Proven experience in writing microcopy, scalable copy, and copy for full-funnel user journeys, including landing pages and emails, is required.
• Experience with user testing and A/B testing, with the ability to apply learnings to writing projects, is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience working with in-house growth product teams and UX/UI Designers.
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar design software) and familiarity with JIRA is expected.
• Demonstrable experience in collaborating with development teams and crafting content approaches to solve technical challenges is required.
• Candidates must be comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and providing clarity to find effective solutions.
• The ability to identify user problems and create content that addresses those challenges is essential.
• Experience working within a design system and with systems thinking is preferred.
• Candidates should be proactive, willing to seek out needed information, and able to handle a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
