Remote Senior Web Developer

Description:

• Platinum Technologies is a Northern Virginia based integrated solutions firm specializing in Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Digital Services to the Public Sector.
• The company seeks a Senior Web Developer with Drupal experience to join their team for a new opportunity.
• This position is fully remote, but candidates must reside in the United States.
• Responsibilities include providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for ITA’s Drupal-based websites hosted on Acquia Cloud Platform.
• The role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of ITA’s web assets, including Trade.gov.
• The developer will perform Drupal core patching and module updates to maintain security compliance within Acquia Cloud.
• The position requires managing and updating Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, JavaScript, and other front-end assets.
• The developer will optimize Drupal themes, templates, and user interfaces for improved user experience.
• Troubleshooting and resolving website performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and content-related errors is also part of the job.
• The role includes working closely with ITA stakeholders to implement content updates, UI/UX improvements, and accessibility compliance.
• Implementing security best practices for web development, including secure coding, access control, and vulnerability remediation is essential.
• The developer will maintain Acquia Cloud environments, ensuring adherence to Acquia best practices for hosting and deployment.
• Developing and documenting technical processes and workflows for ongoing web maintenance and enhancements is required.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in web development, including Java, CSS, and Drupal is required.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position.
• Hands-on experience with Drupal development and administration, including patching Drupal core and managing Acquia Cloud environments is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles is required.
• Experience in troubleshooting web applications, addressing security vulnerabilities, and maintaining website uptime and performance is essential.
• Familiarity with Acquia Cloud tools and services, including Acquia Cloud Site Factory, Acquia Search, and Acquia Dev Desktop is needed.
• Knowledge of Drupal theming, custom module development, and content architecture is required.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies is necessary.
• The ability to work in an Agile development environment, collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders is essential.

Benefits:

• The position offers a salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 a year.
