Description:
Ripple Effect is seeking a Senior Web Developer with six years of experience to support their client’s mission.
The role involves overseeing the development of high-quality websites and collaborating with designers and content managers.
Responsibilities include writing well-designed, testable, efficient code, and using various internet technologies and languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, and SQL.
The developer will integrate data from back-end services, troubleshoot issues, maintain and scale websites, and optimize them for functionality and search engine results.
Staying updated on emerging technologies and creating software documentation are also key aspects of the job.
The position is full-time, remote, and offers flexible work arrangements.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma is required.
Candidates must have at least 6 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in government contracting or the federal workforce on a web development project.
Expert knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, and other Content Management Systems is essential.
Experience with FISMA and 508 compliance is required.
Candidates should possess top-notch web development skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, particularly PHP, JavaScript, and Python, is necessary.
Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure is required.
Familiarity with jQuery and other web development libraries and frameworks is expected.
Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization processes is needed.
Candidates should have experience with various operating systems and protocols, including Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, SFTP, and SSH.
Excellent documentation skills and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in SharePoint.
