Remote Senior Web Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Web Engineer at 10up, you will be responsible for developing enterprise-level WordPress plugins and/or themes primarily using PHP and Gutenberg blocks in React.js.
• You will support learning by mentoring other engineers and providing code reviews.
• Drive strategy and lead back-end technical vision on large-scale projects.
• Solve complex problems in simple yet elegant ways to make the web better.
• You will work on a combination of unique projects and ongoing support engagements that help enhance your skills.

Requirements:

• Love for perfecting skills in WordPress engineering and Gutenberg.
• Experience supporting headless JavaScript projects with WordPress.
• Possess a code portfolio showcasing your best WordPress work on GitHub.
• Comfortable communicating with clients and team members to clearly present thoughts.
• Extensive Git workflow experience in back-end-focused web development.
• Ability to expertly debug performance and caching issues.
• Preference for working fully remote and effectively engaging in a distributed team.
