Fragment Media Group is hiring a full-time remote Senior Software Engineer to work on multiple WordPress sites for a rapidly growing company.
The primary sites supported include Daily Dot, Nautilus, Passionfruit, and One5C.
The ideal candidate is a senior developer with experience who can quickly get up to speed.
Responsibilities include solving complex problems, proposing solutions, coding, and deploying without frequent follow-ups.
Good communication skills are essential as the team is fully remote, requiring clear documentation and ticket updates.
Organizational skills are important due to the critical juncture of the company’s growth, necessitating task management.
The candidate should be self-driven, with the ability to work independently while completing tasks.
Collaboration with closely linked outside teams such as UX, Data, Email, and Editorial is expected.
Familiarity with AWS, Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, CDNs, automated testing, subscription business models, programmatic display advertising, email newsletters, optimizing PHP/MySQL for performance, OAuth, user acquisition, and WooCommerce is a plus but not required.
