Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead 3D Animator to help define and elevate the animation style of our real-time, stylized action game.
You will own the creative quality of every hand-keyed animation that brings our characters to life.
Your responsibilities include setting the style guide, blocking and polishing hero moves, reviewing shots from the team, and working with technical animators to ensure each clip transitions cleanly through the Animation Blueprint.
You will craft expressive locomotion, combat, and cinematic cycles entirely in Maya/Blender, without the use of motion capture.
You will define timing, weight, and silhouette standards, and mentor artists on posing, follow-through, and exaggeration.
You will partner with design and tech-anim to prototype new mechanics and tune animations for gameplay feel.
Your role will involve giving decisive artistic feedback, scheduling iterations, and providing final sign-off on assets for engine integration.
You will coordinate with rigging to request controls, deformation fixes, and shape corrections early in the pipeline.

Requirements:

You must have 5+ years of professional experience in a 3D Animator role.
You should possess expert knowledge of hand-key animation principles, including timing, spacing, arcs, squash-and-stretch, and appeal.
Advanced proficiency in Maya or an equivalent digital content creation tool is required, along with experience in Unreal sequencer and Animation Blueprint integration.
You must demonstrate clear visual communication skills, including the ability to thumbnail, film reference, and quickly block poses for concept sign-off.
A past lead or senior credit on at least one shipped real-time title showcasing high-quality key-framed character work is necessary.
This role is creative-first, meaning you will sculpt motion, set the bar, and shepherd every frame from the first pass to shippable polish.
