The role involves enhancing and scaling the backend systems of the Mimica platform using the MERN stack.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable architecture, developing and optimizing backend services and APIs, and improving the performance and reliability of existing components.
The position offers the opportunity to shape the technical direction, processes, and culture as part of the early engineering team.
Daily tasks include contributing to architectural decisions, developing a real-time backend service, creating libraries and APIs, diagnosing issues, refactoring components, providing feedback through pair programming, and participating in hiring and onboarding.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a background in backend engineering with a focus on developing high-performance production software and scalable architectures.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frameworks and technologies such as Docker and K8s is required.
Practical experience in designing APIs and managing databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB is essential, with a focus on query optimization.
A firm grasp of distributed systems concepts, including microservices, load balancing, caching, and scaling techniques, is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to high engineering standards, prioritizing code quality, maintainability, reliability, and security.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
A drive to continually develop skills and improve team processes is expected.
Fluency in English with effective communication skills is mandatory.
