Description:

As a Senior/Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer at BioRender, you will drive continuous improvement in security standards, systems, and technology.
Your primary responsibility will be to review, design, and implement security solutions to protect the organization's infrastructure.
You will work closely with the platform and infrastructure team to enable security best practices in AWS, Azure, and managed (on-prem) devices.
You will help ensure that infrastructure security standards are implemented and adopted throughout the BioRender organization and its products.
The role emphasizes automation and the right tool for the right job, focusing on building security into workflows while proactively protecting against infrastructure threats.
Key tasks include leading, designing, and implementing security best practices for Cloud Security (AWS, Azure), integrating and automating system hardening and vulnerability management practices, and enabling security monitoring standards for core infrastructure.
You will align teams to security requirements and solutions, drive metrics and accountability for security projects, and identify, plan, evaluate, design, and deploy new security solutions.

Requirements:

You must have thorough knowledge of Cloud computing environments such as GCP, AWS, and Azure, along with experience in architectural reviews and micro-services technologies like Containers, Kubernetes, and Hashicorp Vault.
A strong understanding of security features and controls such as AuthN, AuthZ, PKI, Session Management, and Logging is required.
You should possess broad knowledge of security posture management, integrations via CI/CD, and network security products.
A deep understanding of access control, key management, authentication, and networking is essential.
You must have applied knowledge of cryptography, PKI, TLS, and practical implementation of these concepts.
Experience in threat modeling and familiarity with common code and network vulnerability types, impacts, and remediations is necessary.
Comfort with at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby) is required.
