Description:

BioRender is seeking a Senior/Lead Security Engineer to enhance the security of its flagship application.
The role involves conducting advanced penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and managing a bug bounty program.
Responsibilities include creating design documents for engineering teams, executing penetration tests, and implementing security controls in cloud environments like AWS and Cloudflare.
The engineer will collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security best practices and advocate for security within the organization.
The position requires defining best practices, mentoring other engineers, and participating in security research projects.
The engineer will conduct security assessments, design robust security solutions, and manage security tools such as SIEM and EDR.
Incident response and monitoring are also key components of the role.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in security, ethical hacking, or penetration testing is necessary.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures is essential.
Proficiency in penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Kali, nmap, Wireshark, and Metasploit is required.
Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, and Javascript is needed to develop custom tools and exploits.
Proficiency with AWS, CDN, WAF, and modern web application and data pipelines is expected.
A strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices is crucial.
Comprehensive knowledge of OWASP Top Ten and common vulnerabilities is required.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certifications, GWAPT, OSWE, OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, CCSAS, CCT INF, or relevant SANS courses are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think like an attacker are necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to develop documentation and explain technical details.
