Description:

  • The company is seeking a skilled Lead/Senior Reliability Engineer to join the Platform Team, which currently consists of 3 members, to strengthen their security posture.
  • The role involves owning network security and infrastructure reliability.
  • Daily responsibilities include identifying and resolving networking issues and security vulnerabilities, ensuring application resilience, and enabling infrastructure expansion as the company scales.
  • The engineer will build and configure tools to enhance the security and resilience of the underlying infrastructure.
  • Best practices for scaling, load balancing, and disaster recovery will be implemented.
  • Collaboration with engineering teams in technical and product discussions is expected, providing guidance on technical direction and facilitating decision-making.
  • Conducting post-incident reviews to analyze system failures and designing engineering solutions to prevent recurrence is part of the role.
  • The engineer will leverage observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana to monitor and improve system performance.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have strong experience in infrastructure reliability, DevOps, or similar roles with a focus on security.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security, including routing, load balancing, and networking protocols, is required, along with experience in infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
  • Expertise in deploying and managing services using Docker and Kubernetes in a GCP environment is necessary.
  • A proven ability to debug distributed systems and implement effective solutions is essential.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools like ArgoCD and Helm is required.
  • Experience with observability tools is necessary.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English and possess great communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
