StackAdapt is seeking a Senior and Staff Data Engineer to join their growing backend engineering team.
The role involves working on a new data engineering initiative to solve complex big data problems using new technologies.
The real-time advertising bidding system handles over 3,000,000 requests per second and stores several terabytes of data daily.
Technologies used include Go, Ruby on Rails, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RocksDB, Redshift, ScyllaDB, GraphQL, and others.
The position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in North America.
Responsibilities include building first-party and third-party data integration, architecting scalable backend systems, providing technical guidance, promoting software development best practices, and writing performance-efficient code.

Requirements:

Adtech or Martech experience is an asset.
Proven track record of building scalable data pipelines and services is required.
Experience working with large data in low-latency environments is necessary.
Software development experience in distributed systems and architecting scalable microservices is essential.
A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is required.
Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks is necessary.
Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Apache Beam, BigQuery, Redshift, and dbt is required.
Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
