Description:
Coda is seeking a proactive and driven Senior/Staff Front End Engineer for their Custom Commerce team in Manila, Philippines.
The role involves architecture, development, and evolution of key products and features at Coda.
The engineer will develop features using modern front end technologies and collaborate with back end developers to contribute to API development when necessary.
Responsibilities include working directly with Product and Technology team members to define features, optimizing products, debugging production issues, and taking operational responsibility for team-owned services.
The Codashop Team manages a b2c e-commerce marketplace for in-app purchases, serving tens of millions of users monthly across over 60 countries.

Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in software development.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Expert front end development skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like VueJS or React are essential.
Knowledge and practical experience in one or more back end programming languages (such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Groovy, Go, C/C++, Rust, Python, C#) is necessary, along with the ability to learn new languages quickly.
A strong understanding of software architecture and data systems is required.
Candidates should have a desire to build automation into their work, including implementing CI/CD practices and test automation.
Understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and good command of the English language for effective communication are also required.
Bonus points for strong knowledge of Vue.js and experience in FinTech or related fields requiring strong security discipline.
