Description:

Join a small, growing engineering organization at Prepared, a company revolutionizing emergency response technology with Artificial Intelligence.
Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to support Prepared's platform.
Architect core systems like authentication, authorization, feature flags, and asynchronous messaging.
Develop best practices for software development, deployment, and monitoring.
Automate tasks to enhance engineering team efficiency and reliability.
Help implement and define SLOs and report on customer SLAs.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term platform strategy.
Mentor junior engineers and shape Prepared's engineering culture.

Requirements:

5+ years of software engineering industry experience.
Capacity to operate in a platform engineering, SRE, or similar role.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Github Actions, Drone CI, or Gitlab CI.
Proficiency in or willingness to learn backend stack (RoR, Go).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and the LGTM stack.
Strong communication skills and a passion for documentation.
