Description:
Renew Home is looking for a Senior or Staff Algorithms Engineer to join their growing Algorithms team.
The role involves analyzing diverse datasets to support product definition and inform algorithm design.
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define product/feature requirements.
Developing models and methodologies using machine learning to evaluate the impact of energy management features.
Implementing and productionizing algorithms, designing A/B tests, and experiments for evaluating and improving algorithm performance.
Upholding high-quality standards and taking ownership of functional areas.
Requirements:
5-7 years of industry experience in developing algorithms and evaluating their performance.
Proficiency in Python for designing and implementing production-quality algorithms-focused code.
Strong skills in SQL and experience with columnar databases like Redshift and BigQuery.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and foundation in statistics.
Bonuses include experience in the energy industry, user-facing features, physics of building energy systems, data pipelines, AWS cloud computing ecosystem, and AI/ML tools/frameworks.
