Description:
Apogee, a Boldyn Networks Company, is seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Developer & DevOps Engineer to join their IT team.
This dual role involves building and enhancing ServiceNow applications while driving automation and optimization within the infrastructure using DevOps practices.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in ServiceNow platform development and hands-on experience in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud management.
This is a remote, work-from-home position with a salary range of $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement customized ServiceNow applications, including ITSM, ITOM, FSM, CSM, and custom workflows.
Create and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and other platform components to automate processes.
Configure Service Catalog, Service Portals, and workflow automation for streamlined service delivery.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs and manage data imports using Import Sets and Transform Maps.
Develop and configure the CMDB to track assets, CIs, and their relationships.
Build and enhance Performance Analytics dashboards for real-time reporting and metrics.
Manage update sets to migrate changes between instances and environments, ensuring smooth platform upgrades and deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automating application deployments and infrastructure changes.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Develop and deploy scripts for network and infrastructure automation, monitoring, and optimization in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Set up and maintain containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate monitoring tools with DevOps pipelines to proactively manage infrastructure and application health, using platforms like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Enhance security and compliance by automating policies, patches, and vulnerability management.
Work closely with development and operations teams to establish best practices for version control and release management.
Monitor infrastructure performance and provide operational support for troubleshooting and incident management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to implement business-driven solutions.
Participate in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement.
Document processes, configurations, and solutions, ensuring knowledge sharing and operational transparency.
Requirements:
4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development is required.
3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, including experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and CMDB is essential.
Experience with scripting languages in ServiceNow, including JavaScript, GlideScript, and AngularJS is necessary.
Knowledge of ServiceNow platform upgrades, update set management, and instance maintenance is required.
Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) and automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar is essential.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is required.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management and monitoring in AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
Ability to work in an Agile environment and manage multiple tasks in parallel is required.
A client-focused mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions is essential.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is required.
DevOps certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent are a plus.
