Description:

Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote company with a team of around 100 individuals focused on building a CRM that enhances communication for small scaling businesses.
The role is for a Site Reliability Engineer who will join the Infrastructure Team responsible for building and maintaining the platform that runs all Close systems.
The engineer will work with multi-terabyte MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch clusters, telemetry systems built on Grafana’s LGTM stack and ClickHouse, and multiple Kubernetes clusters running tens of thousands of pods.
The CI/CD process is powered by GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, allowing for rapid deployment and rollback.
The infrastructure is stable and has not required scheduled downtime in four years.

Requirements:

Candidates for Senior 1 & 2 levels should have at least 5 years of experience in building modern infrastructure systems, while Staff level candidates should have 8+ years of experience.
Candidates must be respected as experts on the systems they manage and have been the final point of escalation in supporting mission-critical production systems.
Familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch is required.
A strong understanding of common networking and data transfer protocols like DNS, HTTP, and TCP is necessary.
Candidates must be able to speak and write in English and be located in the USA (ET, CT, MT, PT).
