The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position involves working closely with software engineers on Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and continuous integration efforts (CI/CD).
Key responsibilities include working with existing toolsets while introducing new ideas, collaborating with product owners to evaluate requirements, deploying cloud-based technologies, ensuring software standards, designing and implementing software, providing support to senior engineers, and participating in code reviews.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, specifically with cloud infrastructure and automation tools.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Proficiency in automation using infrastructure-as-code (IAC) with tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, and/or AWS CloudFormation is required.
Expertise in programming tools like JavaScript, Java, Spring-Boot Rest API, Python, Spark, Flask, and OpenAPI is essential.
Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary to work effectively with customers, leads, and team members.
Experience in agile/SAFe environments is required.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory.
Candidates must reside in the Continental US.
Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include a public trust background check or security clearance.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000, based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
