Description:

Pano is a venture-backed early-stage climate tech startup focused on wildfire early detection using IoT, AI, satellites, and SaaS software.
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will join the Platform team to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of software systems through automation, monitoring, and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining monitoring systems, automating repetitive tasks, responding to incidents, improving system performance, planning future capacity needs, collaborating with development teams, building tools for infrastructure operations, defining SLIs and SLOs, assessing risks, and assisting with release processes.
The ideal candidate should be humble, hungry, and people-smart, with a balance of operational process maturity and hands-on coding experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or similar business environment.
A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting production systems as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineer is required.
Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud services and technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies, such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Puppet, is required.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems is essential.
Effective communication skills within the team and across the organization are required for sharing insights and collaborating on project goals.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $205,000 per year, with the final salary based on qualifications, education, experience, and location.
The position is also eligible for stock options.
