Description:
The Site Reliability Engineer at Appspace will be responsible for problem-solving, automating, and maintaining the Cloud Platform to support Engineering and Customer Care teams.
The role involves automating maintenance tasks for the Cloud Platform using Python and shell scripting.
Deploying new features and releases into Kubernetes via Helm is a key responsibility.
Troubleshooting performance issues and errors in the cloud platform or application and taking necessary actions.
Monitoring application performance, uptime, and cloud infrastructure performance to proactively address any negative trends.
Participating in incident management processes to quickly resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Collaborating with Development and Quality Assurance teams to address product and platform issues.
Documenting processes and procedures to share knowledge and improve standardized approaches.
Requirements:
Must be a quick learner and have a desire to continuously learn new technologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Solid background in Containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, Python coding, and some experience with Windows Server OS and MacOS.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Compute Engine, and Google Storage preferred.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault identification processes.
Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ administration preferred.
Flexibility to attend off-hour meetings occasionally.
Openness to quarterly travel up to 5%.
