Description:
Our client, a premier national healthcare provider, is currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on their Cloud Infrastructure team.
This position is 100% remote in the continental US and is open to US Citizens only.
You will be helping a Kubernetes Architect to work with software engineering teams to onboard their applications into Kubernetes Clusters (AKS) in the Azure Cloud.
The role involves staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends related to payment systems and cloud computing.
You will design and implement microservices-based architecture using domain-driven design principles.
Utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration and management is essential to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of the payment system.
Implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure system performance and availability is a key responsibility.
You will develop highly resilient and highly available components for the payment system.
Conducting technology evaluations and providing recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance the payment infrastructure is expected.
Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Strong Kubernetes (K8S) experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures is necessary.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
At least 3 years of experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Azure, including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration is needed.
Experience with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices is essential.
Knowledge of load balancing algorithms is required, and candidates will be asked about this in the interview.
Candidates must have worked in an Azure environment, with significant experience in Kubernetes (AKS).
Knowledge of security best practices for containers and clusters is mandatory.
Proficiency in Terraform is required.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential.
