Description:
The position is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on a Cloud Infrastructure team, working 100% remotely within the continental US.
The role involves collaborating with a Kubernetes Architect and software engineering teams to onboard applications into Kubernetes Clusters (AKS) in the Azure Cloud.
Responsibilities include staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to payment systems and cloud computing.
The engineer will design and implement microservices-based architecture using domain-driven design principles.
Utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration and management is essential to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of the payment system.
The role requires implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure system performance and availability.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
At least 3 years of experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Azure, including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration is necessary.
Familiarity with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices is essential.
Knowledge of load balancing algorithms will be assessed during the interview.
Candidates must have experience working in an Azure environment, particularly with Kubernetes (AKS).
A strong understanding of security best practices for containers and clusters is required.
Proficiency in Terraform is mandatory.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential.
