Description:

Doran Jones is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a high-performing DevOps team supporting critical infrastructure for a global financial technology company.
The role involves working on securities finance applications for a client base that includes investment banks, agent lenders, and hedge funds.
This position is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based infrastructure.
The SRE will collaborate with international teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This is a remote role that requires working during EST business hours and participating in an on-call rotation, which may include some weekends.
Responsibilities include monitoring production systems for high availability, responding to incidents, automating operational tasks, identifying performance bottlenecks, participating in capacity planning, ensuring system security, collaborating with teams to improve architecture, and documenting processes for operational continuity.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration, preferably with RHEL or Rocky Linux.
Experience working in production environments with a focus on reliability and incident response.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
In-depth experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services, including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Athena, and Systems Manager.
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog.
Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical teams and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced Agile environment.
