Description:
Virta Health is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Infrastructure team remotely.
The company aims to transform diabetes care and reverse the type 2 diabetes epidemic by utilizing technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery.
The SRE will work on key projects such as improving metrics strategy, enhancing system observability and reliability, simplifying service management for developers, and improving incident readiness.
Responsibilities include evangelizing SRE best practices, supporting infrastructure and product teams, developing infrastructure automation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Within the first 90 days, the SRE is expected to teach and inspire team members and propose process improvements related to reliability and observability.
Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure automation using Kubernetes, with a bonus for experience with Anthos on GKE.
Proven expertise in developing and managing services using GoLang or Python is required.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation is necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform, is a must.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance practices, preferably HIPAA and HITRUST, is essential.
Experience implementing observability for containerized applications and CI/CD principles is required.
Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and leadership experience are necessary.
