Description:
Beam Benefits is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team.
The engineer will be responsible for building and supporting Beam's production infrastructure in an AWS environment.
They will write software to automate the operations of the Engineering organization and design scalable systems to keep pace with Beam's growth.
Collaborating with engineers, the engineer will support product teams in monitoring production cloud infrastructure and develop tooling for managing production and testing environments.
The role also involves advocating for and maintaining Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices within the organization.
Requirements:
2-3 years of scripting/programming experience in languages like Ruby, Python, etc.
2-3 years of experience in building infrastructure solutions and implementing security best practices in AWS.
Proficiency in using infrastructure-as-code to provision cloud resources.
Familiarity with Terraform, with experience being a bonus.
Strong practical knowledge of containerization, including advanced orchestration tools like ECS or Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of database technologies, specifically MySQL.
Experience with continuous delivery, deployment automation, and identity/access management best practices.
