Remote Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

• Beam Benefits is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team.
• The engineer will be responsible for building and supporting Beam's production infrastructure in an AWS environment.
• They will write software to automate the operations of the Engineering organization and design scalable systems to keep pace with Beam's growth.
• Collaborating with engineers, the engineer will support product teams in monitoring production cloud infrastructure and develop tooling for managing production and testing environments.
• The role also involves advocating for and maintaining Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices within the organization.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of scripting/programming experience in languages like Ruby, Python, etc.
• 2-3 years of experience in building infrastructure solutions and implementing security best practices in AWS.
• Proficiency in using infrastructure-as-code to provision cloud resources.
• Familiarity with Terraform, with experience being a bonus.
• Strong practical knowledge of containerization, including advanced orchestration tools like ECS or Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of database technologies, specifically MySQL.
• Experience with continuous delivery, deployment automation, and identity/access management best practices.
